 Description: | | 1968 Jeep CJ5 (Kaiser), this jeep has been built to be trail tough, never worked hard and always garaged. 225 V6 Dauntless (Buick oddfire). Reworked heads. Offenhauser alum intake, Holly 360 4bbl. HEI ignition conversion. Headers, dual exhaust. New 135 amp alternator, new starter. Braced Saginaw power steering with custom shaft. T14 trans just rebuilt with all new bearings. New clutch, pressure plate T/O bearing & bushing. New started ring on resurfaced flywheel. Dana 18 transfercase just rebuilt, all new bearings & Novak shaft, etc. Brand new Saturn overdrive. Custom twin stick shift. Newly overhauled driveshafts with new u-joints. Recently installed 2-1/2” lift springs with HD shackles. Both axles recently built by MIT. 5.38 ratio Yukon R&P sets. Front is a D27 with LockRite locker. Rebuilt knuckles with stud conversion. Rear is a later model, flanged D44 with Detroit locker. Tires are TSL 33x12.5 Super Swampers mounted on tough Jackman ¼” steel spoke wheels. Dual yellow top Optimas. Completely upgraded, ultra heavy duty custom electrical system. Custom made modular instrument panel with 10 Autometer gauges. CB radio. Bestop highback bucket seats with 3” 5-point harnesses. Custom built 6-point roll cage, 2 x .125 DOM. Front and rear custom built bumpers are the best you will find, no-slip jacking points at each corner. Recovery shackles, 2 front, 2 rear. Front bumper has bush guard, Cepek off-road lights & cornering lights and winch plate. Warn winch. Includes a custom, heavy duty tow bar. Rear bumper with receiver hitch. Swinging tire carrier holds spare tire, 2 jerry cans, high-lift jack, pick, axe, shovel and a gear rack on top. With quick release joints to the roll cage this rack does not shake, period. The Bestop Supertop is in near new condition (seldom used, always garaged) and includes 2 piece doors. |
