 Description: | | This 1951 CJ3A was restored by us at our shop in Vinita, Oklahoma. It is by all means not meant to be an exact restoration to original, but we did use all OEM replacement parts where necessary. We used new wire for parts of the wiring that needed replaced and checked that engine and transmission, brakes and steering were in working order. No problems noted in all areas other than a minor engine leak that all these old jeeps seem to have. New paint was applied after much time spent on body using metal to fill in holes. Running lights work, hi and lo beam, horn works, brake lights, etc. Only light not working at this time is the right parking light due to the old socket failing. We have it wired, it just needs a new socket. New oil filter canister and filter, new plug wires and plugs, new front bumper, new tire carrier, side mirror, tailgate chains. Will come with a 12V signal stat and rear will be wired for signals should the buyer wish to change to 12 volt with signals. The only unoriginal items about this jeep are the axles, which are military with the full floating rear axle, a better axle in my opinion if you need to work on it. The original axles were notorious for being difficult to work on. New 6 volt battery. New electric windshield wiper. Please contact me if you have any questions. |
